- General liability insurance
Accidents are inevitable, whether on or off the field. General liability insurance protects your league and volunteers as it is available to cover property damage or costs associated with a settlement. - Accident insurance
With at least a quarter of the students in your program not having health insurance, you can rest assured that they will have no choice but to take actions against the league or individuals to cover medical costs if they’re injured while playing. To prevent this from happening, accident insurance allows you to cover their medical bills. - Directors & officers’ liability (D&O)
This picks up where the general liability insurance stops off. For example, this comes in handy where a claim is made that mismanagement of the organization has resulted in economic injury to another party. It’s also useful if you face claims of violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act or discrimination.
Other policies to consider include crime, property and equipment, worker’s compensation, and business auto insurance.
